Great project! Looks quite professional in my opinion.
A little bit off topic: in the second picture on the shoulder strap, is this a mount for your camera or what is this?Germany. We don't have national parks, but a lot of hiking trails and smaller parks. Wasn't aware that you have to have a permit to visit national parks in the US.
What did you pay for all the stuff? Do you know it by any chance?
MikeJones Permit systems can be a pain but at the same time you may be able to experience places in a unique and less busy way than you could before COVID-19
It was different from where I live. You do not need permits for outdoor activates and since indoor activities such as the gym, cinema, and so on had been closed, outdoor activities were well attended.

MikeJones What items have you been forgetting?
- extra layer (it is getting way colder when the sun goes down)
- empty batteries for my camera (had like 22% at the beginning on the trip)
- no flashlight (has become essential for me, even for day trips (multiple reasons))
Thank you for your great feedback.
I currently have 3 different backpacks in different sizes and with different features. I've learned to appreciate the 'fast access' slot for my camera and tend to use this backpack even if I don't need all the space.I can share my equipment if someone is interested.
Hey! I hope you all are having a great day.
I've decided to hike more often and to take longer routes. So far, there was at least one thing I forgot to check/ bring with me at every hike. I don't have a routine yet and hope I can learn something from you all. So far, I make sure that I bring enough water, full batteries, and empty sd cards for my camera with me.
